Tennis for Two 2020
This is a prototype of a fully digital remake of William Higinbotham's Tennis for Two.
The final version is intended to be presented as standalone, using Arduino based controllers that recreate the original system's.
Controls:
Paddle 1 turn left | W |
Paddle 1 turn right | E |
Paddle 1 strike | C |
Paddle 2 turn left | I |
Paddle 2 turn right | O |
Paddle 2 strike | N |
Reset Ball | G |
Known Issues:
- The invisible paddles teleport close to the ball, but do not strike the ball. As such, the ball ricochets, and wide open angles can launch the ball further into the player's field.
- There is currently no reset when the ball hits the pitch twice on a player's field nor when it hits the net. The paddles have no cooldown timer between strikes as a temporary workaround for this version and there is also a button to reset the ball.
